Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism cleanses us of sin and initiates us as members of the Christian community. It is the foundation for the sacramental life.

Baptisms should be arranged as early as possible after the child’s birth. Please meet with the priest-on-duty in the Rectory for inital registration: weekdays 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. 

Baptism of infants is performed on the first and third Sunday of every month at 1:30 PM.

Both parents are required to attend a one hour Baptism class. Classes are held on the last Monday of the month from 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the Grammar school. No registration is required. 

Parents requesting a private Baptism must write to the pastor. Private Baptisms usually occur in the church; if the Church is not available the Baptism may be held in the Resurrection Chapel.
